Wildflower

Hey there! Hope everyone is having a happy Tuesday so far… but on another note, let me take you back to this weekend. Last Sunday was a great warm day for a party at the park where my very good friend was celebrating her b-day and also saying farewell to L.A., and soon saying hello to her new home in San Francisco. I wore these playful daisy shorts, and crochet bustier because, well.. something told me there was going to be a water balloon fight…ahheemm. ;)

I mainly wanted to wear summer friendly fabrics to stay comfy but I couldn't resist wearing this vegan leather fringe vest. I'm seriously trying hard not to wear it out, but its kind of hard when it looks so awesome there hanging in my closet! Its just so versatile. Here it added a perfect edge that tied in the texture and color of this look.

You know me, chunky gold accessories are my weakness. Can you blame me? :o

I love everything about these booties. On top of being super cute, they are also comfy. I can walk in these for hours.

As I mentioned earlier, my bff is leaving and I am so proud of her accomplishments and her amazing move to bigger and better things. Although I am sad I won't have her as close, since she is one of my most trusted friends, I can't wait to see her blossom out there. My little wildflower Liz, this post is for you. May love, happiness, and success always be by your side. Cheers!

Boho LBD

This California heat has got us all looking for some shade, so I went miniature golfing with my husband and son at this cool little man made oasis. It was only ideal to wear a loose fit lbd with breathable fabric. If this dress had another inch of fabric I think I would've melted! OK, maybe I'm exaggerating, but it is super hot.

Some of the elements that attracted me to this dress were the knitted patterns on the collar and bottom hem. Lbds' can sometimes be a little plain, and it's details such as these that give you a little more to work with when attempting this look.

Stay hydrated everyone, its a hot one. Cheers!

Spiced White T

While running some errands around Hollywood I wore this little bright ensemble. Since it was the middle of the week I decided to wear a plain white t-shirt, but I didn't want to feel dull so I slipped in to this vibrant mini skirt by Shrinking Violet, to spice things up. I really appreciate the subtleness of a white tee, it's like having a plain canvas just waiting to be splashed with color.

Pops of color were a re-occurring theme with this outfit. I enjoyed playing with the different hues on the skirt and matching them with my shoes, purse, and accessories.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Stay cool, it's a hot one! Cheers!

Camo and Tie-Dye

So this week I want to share with you guys a little about two awesome prints and how to match them. Somewhere between the end of last year and through all of this year, tie dye has taken over almost all of our favorite retail stores. Camo isn't falling too far behind, although, I honestly don't think camo will ever be out of fashion. With that being said, what happens when you put them together? An ootd worth posting about!

For this look I chose two pieces that resembled in tones, which are earthly tones. By doing so I was able to tone down all the mixing and matching action going on. We all know tie dye alone can be pretty loud on its own. However, I wouldn't blame you if you chose to wear traditional bright tie dye, after all it is summer. Matched together with this camo cargo skirt and little hints of metallics this quickly became one of my favorite summer looks.

I want to give a huge shout out to my two favorite helpers, my son and my husband. Those of you who follow me on social networks know that I am indeed a mom to a sweet CJ, and a wife to a wonderful Mr. Olano. I want to thank them so much for supporting my blog and helping make this an unforgettable adventure. Mommy loves you! Cheers!

Oasis

Recently I went on a quick road trip to Las Vegas with family and friends, and I had my self a blast! The fun thing about road trips is the bonding you get to do on the long drive. Of course my main topic of conversation was fashion and my profound love for it, sigh....

While on the topic, for this trip I wore these incredible Zara shorts. They were the ideal choice for this sort of dessert trip because of their flexible fabric and perfect length for the temperatures ahead. With the shorts I wore a sheer knitted crop top, but if you'd like to add some more summer to this type of look you can just swap the top for a pink crop top or even a red one will do.

Chunky gold accessories are my favorite! I kept the theme rolling by even wearing gold oxfords. Even though some say less is more, sometimes more is best, especially in Vegas!

What do you fashionistas like to wear on road trips? Do you go comfy? Or picture ready? Till next time guys and dolls. Cheers!

A Day in New York City

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to visit the great city of New York, New York, or as many people know it, The Big Apple. We were fortunate enough to attend a three day music festival, The Governors Ball, which I might add is one of the most bad ass events a rock fan like my self can attend. Since we were mostly at the concert our trip didn't afford us much time to explore, but on one of the days I did, we visited the majestic Central Park. Located in the heart of the city, this gorgeous arrangement of forest, lake, and man made structures, is almost a sanctuary to those within the city. There I experienced one of the most romantic and peaceful strolls I've ever had. We were surrounded by nature, art, and and array of sounds in the center of this beautiful place which gave the day a surreal feeling I hope to remember for years to come.

Under this bridge were two musicians playing they're saxophones to some real deal NYC jazz. It was a privilege to stand there and admire their talent.

This little number by Lenni was my choice for an adventurous day in the city. The cut, pattern, and colors are absolutely gorg to me! The sleeves and ruffled neck give it a classic look that is so City girl.  The boots were a perfect accent to offset the feminism of the dress.

This had to be my favorite moment of that day. At a jaw dropping 102nd floor of the famous Empire State Building I was able to see all of New York. From this point I could tell that this is a city that shines day or night!

I love New York! Cheers!

Sao Paulo

Hey there Sea LA here! So it's been a minute since I've posted due to traveling and a few projects I've been working on, but breaks over. Promise! I have a few shoots from some of the places I've been exploring that haven't been posted yet so I'm going to be sharing them here through out the week.

What can I say about Sao Paulo, Brazil… only that it's a city filled with so much energy! People in SP are constantly on the move. The streets are bustling with people night and day. One thing I didn't expect was the drop in temperature. I had packed for warm climates and sunny skies, but SP wasn't much of a warm city. Three of the five days I was there it rained, however, that didn't stop me from rocking this Brazil inspired outfit.

When it comes to Brazil some of the things that come to mind are the amazing wild plant life that fills this beautiful country. That is where I derived incentive for these high waisted shorts… but of course I added my own twist with my love for studded spikes.

This shoot was taken at our stay in this beautiful deco apartment in Sao Paulo. Those Brazilians really take their art seriously. I truly feel that I left a little piece of my heart in this magical place. Till next time. Cheers!
