About A Girl

Some say no pain, no gain, and those were my exact thoughts during this shoot. As I mentioned in my last post I recently had surgery on my right foot, and the healing process hasn't exactly been a cakewalk. Since I'm a bit of a rebel I've been going against the grain and have been more active than I should be... which is still not a lot of activity (thumbs down). With that being said here's a little rebellious post for your enjoyment :).

As I was running simple errands around town I wore a spruced up tank look. Nirvana is one of my favorite bands so naturally I have one of their band shirts (a few actually), and although I have been doing the grunge look a lot lately, I kind of wanted to change it up a bit with a delicate floral skirt. I swear, Kimchi Blue has some of the prettiest pieces, and this skirt is one of them. The pretty doesn't only stop at the rose print, check out the lace trim. So oh la la!

Ouch! Here you can see how my poor right foot has been mangled by my boot (don't worry, I'm totally ok)… but any who, I really wanted you guys to see how amazing these hide sandals look together. So I slipped the right one on for a sec so you can see the complete look.

Enjoy the last weekend of the month guys and dolls! Cheers!

Draped in Pearls

Happy Friday! Today I'm going to share a few easy, and quick ideas to glam up a simple outfit. So for this look I chose a pair of wide legged trousers with black suspenders. I purchased these pants with the suspenders already attached, but you can easily accomplish this by clipping on any suspenders of your choice. Easy peasy!

If you don't already own one, I highly recommend investing in a black bralette like the one seen here. There are a variety of ways to wear them! They look super hot under sheer tops. They're great for tops that are too low and loose around the breasts (like some tank tops), and if you're up for it, you can even wear it as top like I did, adding edge to this look.

I found that this outfit made me feel a little 1940's mobsterish, which wasn't what I was going for. The first thing that came to mind was adding a feminine touch, and pearls did just the trick. Buuuut, I kinda draped my self in all the pearls in my jewelry box. I've always wanted to, and thought this was a great opportunity to since I was lacking some glam.

In case you didn't notice my right foot is a little camera shy. Why you ask??.. Well, I recently under went a corrective surgery (bummer!), and despite the pesky pain and inability to stand on my poor foot (and this ugly boot I have to wear), I'm delighted to still be able to deliver this post to you guys. I love sharing with you all, and I didn't want this healing process to stop me from doing so. Hope you all enjoyed this quick how to. Have an amazing weekend. Cheers!
