Camo and Tie-Dye

So this week I want to share with you guys a little about two awesome prints, and how to match them. Somewhere between the end of last year, and all throughout this year, tie dye has taken over almost all of our favorite retail stores. Camo isn't falling too far behind, although, I honestly don't think camo will ever be out. With that being said, what happens when you put them together? An ootd worth posting about!

For this look I chose two pieces that resembled in tones, which are earthy tones. By doing so I was able to tone down all the mixing and matching action going on. We all know tie dye alone can be pretty loud on its own. However, I wouldn't blame you if you chose to wear traditional bright tie dye, after all it is summer. Matched together with this camo cargo skirt and little hints of metallics, this quickly became one of my favorite summer looks.

I want to give a huge shout out to my two favorite helpers, my son and my husband. Those of you who follow me on social networks know that I am indeed a mom to a sweet CJ, and a wife to a wonderful Mr. Olano. I want to thank them so much for supporting my blog and helping make this an unforgettable adventure. Mommy loves you! Cheers!

Oasis

Recently I went on a quick road trip to Las Vegas with family and friends, and had a blast! The fun thing about road trips is the bonding you get to do on the long drive. Of course my main topic of conversation was fashion, and my profound love for it. Sigh....

While on the topic, for this trip I wore these incredible Zara shorts. They were the ideal choice for this sort of desert trip. The flexible fabric, and length were perfect for the temperatures ahead. With the shorts, I wore a sheer knitted crop top, but if you'd like to add more summer to this look you can just swap the top for a pink one, or even a red one will do.

Chunky gold accessories are my favorite! I kept the theme rolling by even wearing gold oxfords. Even though some say less is more, sometimes, more is best, especially in Vegas!

What do you fashionistas like to wear on road trips? Do you go comfy? Or picture ready? Till next time guys and dolls. Cheers!

A Day in New York City

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to visit the great city of New York, or as many people know it, The Big Apple. We were fortunate enough to attend a three day music festival, The Governors Ball, which might I add is one of the most bad ass events a rock fan like my self can attend. Since we were mostly attending the concert, our trip didn't afford us much time to explore. The one free day we did have, we visited the majestic Central Park. Located in the heart of the city, this gorgeous arrangement of forest, lake, and man made structures, are almost a sanctuary to those within the city. There I experienced one of the most romantic, and peaceful strolls I've ever had. We were surrounded by nature, art, and and array of sounds in the center of this beautiful place, which gave the day a surreal feeling I hope to remember for years to come.

Under this bridge were two musicians playing they're saxophones to some real deal NYC jazz. It was a privilege to stand there and admire their talent.

This little number by Lenni was my choice for an adventurous day in the city. The cut, pattern, and colors are absolutely gorg! The sleeves and ruffled neck give it a classic look that is so city girl.  The boots were a perfect accent to offset the feminism of the dress.

This had to be my favorite moment of that day. At a jaw dropping 102nd floor on the famous Empire State Building I was able to see all of New York. From this point I could tell that this is a city that shines day or night!
