AD HOC Fashion Show

AD HOC FASHION SHOW

Riley Suchanek founder of AD HOC

Stimulated and inspired is how I felt at the AD HOC fashion show this week. With all the beauty and creativity presented in front of me, I couldn't help but to admire the different moods each mini collection projected.

"AD HOC is a budding fashion show debuting Los Angeles based designers. These designers have created an event unlike the typical fashion show. Rather than a piece-by-piece runway display, each designer will showcase the entirety of his/her collection at one time" - theadhoc.org

The first mini collection is designed by Michelle Hebert, and what a great way to start the show. First the models floated on to the stage in these enchanting gowns that stunned the crowd, while Lana Del Reys' version of "Once Upon a Dream" played in the background. It was such a dreamy sight.

BAD ASS, is all I have to say about designer Megan Flores's mini collection. These girls looked tough in the amazing black leather pieces with accents of fur. It was punk meets chic all the way. This collection screamed texture and boldness to me. Right on!

Last, but definitely not least, designer and founder of AD HOC, Riley Suchanek completed the show with a beautiful yet subtle display of sheer beige tones and artistic fabric. It was the perfect ending to a one of a kind show.

I truly enjoyed the environment and crowd that showed up at this event. The music was jamming and the new connections I made were awesome to say the least. Can't wait for the next AD HOC event.

Till next time! Cheers!

Hollywood Starlette

Wearing a dress is such a beautiful feminine statement, and when us ladies slip in to one we immediately start feeling our girly mannerisms kicking in. This lovely little gem I found at Urban Outfitters does just that. It has a vintage Hollywood feel to it, circa Marilyn Monroe era.

One of the traits that I love about this maxi dress is the length. With a slight gust of wind it flows like pretty willow vines. To add to its beauty the material has these small ridges that are form fitting, yet subtle and soft like its gorgeous floral print. This is definitely spring attire!

Lately I've been in to small pieces of jewelry with cute little details, and this mini California state charm is my go to necklace. It reminds me of how lucky I am to be part of a piece of land that I am totally in love with, and a city that has so much to offer.

This week don't be afraid to aim for the stars! Get one step closer to your dreams. Till next time. Cheers!

Boyfriend Jeans

It's FRIDAY! For those of you who listen to the famous hip-hop station here in L.A., that must ring a few bells. So lately I've been wearing these boyfriend jeans everywhere and when I say everywhere, I mean it. The fit is so comfortable and the look is edgy, so why not? I know that some of you are thinking, "I'll lose my figure in such baggy pants", but think about it this way, walking around in jeans that look like you stole from your BF seems pretty sexy to me.

I decided to wear this lose cami because of its awesome print and colors, but you can always opt out and wear a more fitted top for a more curvy effect.

Hamsa earrings, don't mind if I do. A little spiritual protection is welcome, plus they look super rad too.

Have a bright weekend everyone! Cheers!

Kimono Floral

In the spirit of love I present to you my favorite kimono thus far. Cupid really did a number on me when I laid eyes on it, and well, what can I say I'm a sucker for florals.

To keep the oh la la momentum going, I added a white crop top with adorable oversized hooks, and of course these satin slacks made just the right match for this look.

I wanted to let the kimono get most of the action, so I kept the accessories delicate and simple, yet still noticeably cute.

When it comes to just about anything, Betsey Johnson can do no wrong. These strappy heels are from her bridal collection, and even if wedding bells aren't ringing, I can't resist wearing these beauties.

It's the month of LOVE, and shopping deals are as sweet. Check out some of the links on the right column of my blog, who knows, you might just find a deal you'll fall in love with. Till next time love birds! Cheers!
