Vanilla x Gold

It was a foggy day at the Santa Monica Pier. Between the gloom, and the carnival atmosphere, I couldn't help but to feel a dreamlike trance come over me. For this little escapade I wore creme on creme with gold details.

Heavy knit sweaters are always nice for days like this. It wasn't exactly chilly, but it was still cold enough for something warm. Along with my sweater I went with these rock star off-white skinnies. What really attracts me about these pair of pants are the gold studs. I love me some studs.

If you've never owned a pair of Sperry's, well let me tell you, go out and try some on! They're comfy, have a vintage feel, and go with so much.

I kept the accessories golden in order to add some contrast to all the white, and although it was foggy outside, my little plastic clutch was as clear as daylight. Hence the Batman phone case is quite exposed.

Hope you all have an awesome week, and don't forget to indulge in a little something that makes you happy. For me, this ice cream did the trick. Cheers!

Girl on The Fast Lane

Happy hump day! This week is going by fast, so here's a quick tip about this outfit. This "dress" is in fact an oversized blouse, but I decided to put my own twist and wear it differently. I enjoy loose shirts as much as the next gal, but sometimes they can feel a little frumpy, and that wasn't exactly my mood. First, I consider the length to assure myself that I won't have any embarrassing slip ups. Just to be positive, I move around in front of a mirror to inspect any unexpected peek-a-boos. If the odds are good, you've got yourself a mini dress.

For a while I was on the hunt for a burgundy floppy fedora, and I finally encountered this one at a cute boutique called Stuf, in San Francisco. You can literally wear these hats with almost everything.

For those of you who have been seeing this dark ombre lip effect and want a piece of it, here is how I get the look. Outside: Nightmoth lip liner by MAC / Inside: Diva lipstick also by MAC. Then gently rub your lips together until you see the desired ombre effect, and voila!

In order to bring sexy back to my oversized shirt/dress, I combined it with my knee high stiletto boots and thigh high nylons.

Well, that's it for now. Till next time. Cheers!

Velvet Punk

I recently read a quote that said "Your wardrobe could use more risks", which is why I decided to take these velvet harem pants home despite my hesitation at the P.O.S.. There was something about the texture, and color that wouldn't let me put them down. I immediately started to picture different ways to pair them up with other pieces in my closet. Since the pants make such a statement, I settled with my mesh v-neck t-shirt, and this awesome biker jacket I found at H&M over the holidays.

These peep toe booties give that winter fashion feel while allowing your feet to breath in these high temperatures. Plus, they are super cute!

I mixed and matched my jewelry with solid textures, and silver x gold tones in order to keep things risky. Sometimes taking risks are totally worth it. Try it and give your wild side a chance to shine.

I want to dedicate this post to our beloved aunt Nuria Helen Rodriguez-Sorto. This morning God decided to grant her wings so that she can fly in to the gates of paradise. There she can be the wild and free spirit she has always been. I will always remember her as the lover of soul music and dancer of funk, and I will never forget how her contagious laughter filled any room she was in. We will miss you love. May you peacefully rest in paradise angel.

San Francisco Roadtrippin'

Traveling on the road is an amazing way to vacation, it allows you to encounter wonderful places that you may never discover if traveling via plane. For example, here are some shots of the awesome produce and attractions I encountered at Casa De Fruta en route to San Francisco.

The highway leading from L.A. to the bay area is full of some of California's most beautiful crops; dry or in season, they are truly an incredible display. I took advantage of a pit stop and decided to capture them, little did I know they totally complimented my outfit.

For this trip, I geared up in some of my favorite Forever 21 pieces that I knew would be comfortable for the long ride. A plaid button up shirt was essential for the change in climates from hot L.A. weather to chilly Frisco weather. Also, I decided on light accessories, and my trusty wool hat in order to not cause me any discomfort while admiring the views on the road.

I really dig these spiked and slitted vegan leather leggings paired with my wedge booties. Frisky all the way!

If you ever take a trip to San Francisco from L.A. make sure to stop by Casa De Fruta for their delicious treats and scenery. P.S. Try the wine!

Sea L.A. in 2014

Happy 2014! It's the first post of the year, and I want to do it with a bang in beautiful downtown L.A.. Before I do I want to thank everyone who has been following me so far and showing me support. This one is also for you.

For NYE I felt like doing something a little different so I went with this funky black tulle skirt from Urban outfitters. Tulle skirts are like the mature version of a tutu, and they're a whimsy little trend I've been wanting to try. They are absolutely fun to wear. A little reminiscent of Sarah Jessica Parker in "Sex in the City".

To add even more glamour to my NYE outfit I slipped into this fabulous sequin blazer from BCBG Max Azria. It was a wonderful addition to my closet in 2013, and I decided I'm going to put it to work in 2014. As for accessorizing, I kept it festive wearing a tulle head band and a pearl choker with a cute little black bow.

They weren't messing around when they said Nasty Gals do it best! I found these ultra mesh pumps on nastygal.com during their black Friday deal. These fashion killers make any outfit chic and sexy. It's important that you always have a good pair of black pumps to add that special element only black pumps can add. Remember, you can never have too many black shoes in your collection.

2014 is going to be a very fun and exciting year for fashion, and I will be studying it closely. So this year expect to see a whole lot of Sea L.A., and be ready for some amazing looks that are going to evoke the little fashonista in you! Cheers!
